DO:
- Use the automated tagging program. It is mandatory.
- Use white cardstock for your tags.
- Use NORMAL or DRAFT print setting on your printer.
- Select “Black Cartridge Only” from printing properties if you have a color printer.
- Attach your tag to the left shoulder (your right) of all hanging items.
- Secure the tag on non-clothing items with clear tape.
- Use safety pins to attach your tags.
- Hang pants from the waist by pinning the safety pin around the hanger as shown.
- Make sure all clothing is sorted by gender, size and all buttons, snaps, and zippers are fastened.
- Make sure all non clothing items are in good, working order with all the pieces and parts accounted for.
- Make sure clothing items are in excellent condition free of tears and stains, and are up to date.
DO NOT:
- Handwrite tags, they will NOT be accepted.
- Use plain paper, construction paper or colored cardstock. Do not use fuzzy/textured or smooth surface cardstock.
- Use BEST quality on your printer. It is too dark and causes the barcodes to bleed
- Forget to change color printer settings to “Black Cartridge Only”. Barcodes will appear purple and blurry if this setting is not changed.
- Attach tag anywhere but the left shoulder
- Cover the barcode on the tag with any type of tape.
- Use straight pins. Any items using straight pins will be pulled from the sales floor.
- Hang pants so that they slide on the hanger or hang folding them over the hanger.
- Leave clothes unsorted, unbuttoned, unsnapped, or unzipped. You will be asked to step to the side to complete this before your items are inspected.
- Bring broken toys, stuffed animals, toys/puzzles with pieces missing.
- Bring clothing items that have stains, tears, or are out of date.
